The Joan and Sanford I. Weill Neurosciences Building is a new 6-story, 280,000 sq.ft.state-of-the -art building which will become the headquarters for the Weill Institute for Neuroscience at the University of California, San Francisco.
When completed, the building will house a combination of psychiatric offices on floors 1-3 with research labs, clinics and office space on floors 4-6. Neurological professionals and graduate students will work side by side in this ultramodern facility.
Digital Building Components provided panelized interiors (27, 678.65 sq. ft. per level) and exteriors (17,724 sq. ft.total) for the building. The panels were shipped to the plumbing and electrical subcontractors for rough in at their respective shops, before being delivered to the extremely tight project site which has limited assigned crane time for exterior panel install and interior panel offloading.
