Digital Building Components, a construction industry fabricator, buiding directly from the model, is seeking candidates for a long term engagement with growth opportunity, for an Estimator.
Digital Building is seeking experienced construction estimators with experience in both architectural finishes and cold-formed metal framing. We are a growing company focused designing, and digitally prefabricating custom building components for delivery and installation on construction projects throughout the U.S.
Candidates should have a strong estimating background and the ability to propose alternative solutions, solve technical issues, provide excellent design/pre-construction phase services. Experience in senior housing, student housing, and healthcare project is a plus. Successful individuals will have a very hands-on approach to the estimating process, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a team oriented working environment.
+ Fabrication Modeling Engineer
Digital Building Components, a construction industry fabricator, buiding directly from the model, is seeking candidates for a long term engagement with growth opportunity, for a Fabrication Modeling Engineer.
Responsibilities: The fabrication modeling engineer will work primarily in Metal-Wood Framer (MWF), with our proprietary add-ins, to complete detailed cold-formed steel framing designs and embed production data for batching to our robotic production lines. The role will also involve testing and learning other software tools to communicate with our automated equipment. As our production methods become more automated, the scope of this role will grow into developing more model-to-robot processes.
Required Skills and Experience: Candidates should understand load-bearing framing (in metal or wood) and ideally have 2 years of field experience as a framer or framing detailer. Candidates should have experience in MWF and other BIM applications. General understanding of basic building systems such as electrical, plumbing, and mechanical is a plus. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn new construction systems and methods and seek the technical training to grow our strength as an automated fabricator.
+ Project Architect
As a design-builder of structural building systems across the US, Digital Building Components is seeking a Project Architect who will be part of a team that is responsible for managing the design of our projects.
The project architect will engage in projects during schematic and conceptual design phases prior to our contract award, making design recommendations to the project stakeholders based upon Digital Building’s capabilities and fulfillment of customer requirements. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in the building design industry, licensure in California or Texas, and experience preferably in senior housing, student housing, and healthcare. Successful individuals will have a very hands-on approach to the design process, with the experience to develop key details that can be produced efficiently in our factory, and meet code requirements.
